I've been a VIP and regular member of DB for years and have been a customer of OCS since 2002. I've never paid money for a "legitimate" looking prescription, and then had it turned down by Wal-Mart as "invalid DEA #"

It is Dr. Garcia and I used the http://www.1consultdirect.com/order.php website. I paid $200 by money order, and they said (after I was called by the Austin Police Department) that Dr Garcia (I use the term "doctor" loosely) would personally call in my prescription as soon as he received his handwritten prescription from me. I sent it back the same day, and it was signed for by Dr. Garcia. Now he's saying he never received it, even though Jason, their Customer Service person said he HAD it, and they would call in my prescription, "just give us a phone # where to call". I provided the number, then Garcia said he never received his handwritten prescription back, again...This was after a WEEK of stalling me that Garcia was "out of the country" and could not get back to Boca Raton because of the hurricane Gustav.

Because of the long wait, I started researching Garcia and found there are all kinds of lawsuits against this guy:

http://southflorida.bizjournals.com/southflorida/stories/2006/10/09/story8.html

I found several other warnings. I knew about Garcia, but was UNAWARE that was who this company was using...I was scammed into using Garcia unknowingly, so all I know to do is blacklist this website for refusing to refund my money.

I'm not sure how to get this officially blacklisted, so I will look for the appropriate forum, and copy this information. You may wish to post more *urgent* warnings to our valued members!! I would HATE for anyone to lose $200 as I have. I still have every receipt.

When I called Austin Police Department, they told me to call Boca Raton police, BC police told me to file a report. I will be doing that, though I gave http://www.1consultdirect.com/order.php THREE MONTHS to make good on this, and now they refuse to even answer my phone calls, or emails. Though Jason's voice still answers the phone, and they are very much still taking peoples money!!! They need to be stopped right away. I apologize for waiting so long.

Please let me know if you need fedex receipt #s for the transactions, and the address in boca raton, that is their "real" address (as Wal-Mart notified me, the doctor's address on hs prescriptions does not exist. Wal-Mart turned the prescription over to Austin Police Department...Unfortunately I was in Utah, on business, and couldn't personally take care of it, that day, and now I can't find the investigator who initially called.).

Thank you,

Doni

When is your F2F? I would love to know how it goes. I live in N. Alabama and am trying to decide if traveling down there is going to be an option for me. I think it would help me decide if someone had a really positive experience.

That is good to hear. I personally have never had a problem with a script from Dr. G, and I have used a couple of different pharmacies.

and then i got a bad feeling they are gong after the rest of sources such as iops!
in 2009 you will have to have a provable condition or you will be gettin nuttin!

my appologies to inod for not lookin at date on post
however i still dissagreed with some facts!

How much is the consult price for the F2F? Honestly, I wouldn't mind a January trip to Miami!! However, money is such as issue these days.

I also am planning a trip probably in February. It would be great if you could know some people in your area or state and split the cost of the trip if you are within reasonable driving distance.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It would be great to be able to split the bill a little. So how could we start getting people involved? Like, I know I would have to fly thorough Atlanta. It would be great to be able to meet up there.

Atlanta is only a few hours drive time for me.The key for people to do this is being able to trust the other person if you don't know them. You never know who is actually on the other side of the keyboard.Patients should start to communicate now with each other to plan out and get to know each other so they will be comfortable.

I agree. It is time for people to get into groups if they want to go down to FL. I, for one, don't want to wait until the last minute.

You may still want to check into some flights. It looks like most people will hook up in Atlanta. Where, undoubtedly, I will get lost and never be heard from again (and I mean in the Airport!!)

I just got a PM from Jeff. Who works on a Sunday night!!! My next consult is due right about the first of December. Jeff said it would be fine for me to have one more phone consult and then fly down to see the doctor in February. I am loving the thought of South Florida in February!! Break out the sun screen!!

I wonder if face to face will mean schedule II scripts, like percocets. That would be fantastic. Anyone...anyone???

I kind of doubt it since we would still be on a three month consult schedule. It would be nice if he would up the regular count a few though. Sorry, that is the pain talking. Cold front coming through, body shutting down. Heck, if I go down to southern Florida I may never come home again.

I don't think it would require a visit every month as the law was changed to allow for a physician to write up to three months on three separate Rx's for Sch. II, dated consecutively. But that would still require a visit every three months.

Apparently there are a few "Dr Garcia's" working in the OP business.
So I guess it would be hard to determine which Garcia is the bad apple.

I know quite a few people who use services that he consults for, including myself and immediate family members.

I know of no one personally that has had any problems.

I think there have been a total of 3 problems posted on this board about issues with services that use him, and all unrelated to any actual issue with him.

There is also speculation that there is more than one Dr. Garcia involved in the OCS business.

from experience, a SCII requires a F2F monthly, unless you have a very understanding doc that is willing to predate 2 scripts for you...(and this regulation was just recently passed and many docs are not willing to do it) but i doubt any doc that is going to see you once a year would ever attempt this.

Cool, nice to meet another deadhead! I have three tats, but I am not sure where I am going to put my dancing bear tat. I only want one-purple.

I have sorta collected the tour beanie bears. Not real obsessed, but when I see one I pick it up. My boys cannot understand why mommy has these little bears in the china cabinet!

Yeah, I think I could do a road trip with some other hippies!

Wow! I have a tribal heart with wings in the middle of my back. In the heart is my husband's name and above each wing is the name of my son's. Good thing I only have two.

I really need to get my dancing bear tat. I'm thinking about putting it on my ankle. Wear it proud and wear it loud!

I have been to lots of cools shows and traveled many summers with the hippies. Ah, those were the days.

I'm STILL sad about Jerry.
